Patients with multiple comorbidities often present with chronic, painful, non-healing wounds that require a comprehensive approach to care. This seminar will provide the clinician with tools for assessment, factors that impede healing, identification of different types of wounds, wound dressing choices/categories, skin care strategies for prevention of wounds and actual patient case studies. There will also be a portion for hands-on dressing samples and discussion for usage.

Kendra graduated at the University of Texas at Arlington in 1985 with her BSN. She graduated from Parkland Memorial Hospital’s Critical Care & Trauma Nurse Internship. She has worked in the surgery/trauma, thoracic and neurosurgical ICU at Parkland Memorial Hospital as a staff nurse and nurse educator. Kendra has been a manager on a trauma floor and the director of critical care at Zale Lipshy University Hospital in Dallas. She has her Master of Nursing from Texas Woman’s University as a clinical nurse specialist and has worked as a CNS in the surgical trauma ICU.
Kendra moved to Florida and is currently the director of the Marcus Neuroscience Institute neuroscience programs associated with Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Kendra is known for providing engaging presentations and supports continued education for nurses.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by email, in writing or by phone up to 14 days prior to the seminar will receive a full refund. A 10% processing fee will be charged for refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the seminar. If applicable, the cancellation fee may be waived for tuition transferred to another seminar or if applied to Self-Study products. In the rare event that MED-ED must cancel, MED-ED’s liability is limited to tuition.
