This course is geared toward new charge nurses or charge nurses that would like to kick their skills up a notch. Most charge nurses are promoted because of their clinical skills but are lacking in the other basic skills they need to lead in today’s shifting healthcare environment. This course will cover basics such as communication, conflict management, budgeting, relevant laws and other important concepts of leadership.

Nancy has an extensive career as a nurse leader, educator and consultant. She is an in-demand lecturer with years of presenting to diverse audiences on topics ranging from clinical care to leadership, who has also been published extensively. Nancy has worked in emergency care environments ranging from small rural hospitals to large urban medical centers. In any setting, she is viewed as an engaging, thoughtful leader. She calls upon her cumulative experiences to bring fresh insights to her clients. In addition to these accomplishments, Nancy has extensive experience in association leadership and has earned her DNP with a focus on leadership.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by email, in writing or by phone up to 14 days prior to the seminar will receive a full refund. A 10% processing fee will be charged for refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the seminar. If applicable, the cancellation fee may be waived for tuition transferred to another seminar or if applied to Self-Study products. In the rare event that MED-ED must cancel, MED-ED’s liability is limited to tuition.
