This seminar is designed to assist the nurse and other healthcare providers by giving them the knowledge to manage the patient in cardiopulmonary crisis. The presentation will focus on an overview of cardiopulmonary physiology, the management of hemodynamics specific to patients with cardiopulmonary disease, and the medical and surgical management of these patients.

Dr. Johnson has spent the last 15 years teaching test prep courses as well as a variety of lectures in critical care and emergency nursing in hospitals and nursing schools. He has spent the majority of his career working at the bedside in various emergency and critical care settings, as well as obtaining several postgraduate degrees in various fields of biology. He has reviewed several critical care textbooks and contributed to numerous medical and nursing publications in the areas of critical care and emergency medicine. To date, while keeping an active nursing license, Dr. Johnson also works as a practicing internal medicine physician and chief of aerospace medicine in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Johnson brings clinical and academic experience and knowledge to his lectures. He is also known for his ability to communicate complex physiology and anatomy in a humorous and easy-to-learn manner.

The Day Of
Sign-in begins at 7:30 am. The day includes a one-hour lunch (on your own), as well as a morning and afternoon break of 15 minutes each. The order of lectures presented and break times may vary according to speaker preference..
Walk-In Fee
As long as space is available, you can register the day of the seminar with an additional walk-in fee of $15. Please note that only cash, money orders, credit cards and hospital checks are accepted at the door. Personal checks are not accepted.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing or by phone up to 14 days prior to the seminar will receive a Full Refund. A 10% processing fee will be charged for refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the seminar. Cancellation fee will be waived for tuition transferred to another seminar or if applied to Self-Study products. In the rare event that MED-ED must cancel, MED-ED’s liability is limited to tuition.
