Course Description

This two-day CCRN/PCCN Review is designed for the critical care or progressive care nurse preparing to take either exam from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). The review focuses on anatomy, physiology, 
pathophysiology and disease management according to the AACN test guide for each exam. Each system review will be followed with sample test questions along with test-taking strategies.

Program Learning Outcomes

This program prepares the learner to:

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and confidence to successfully pass the CCRN or PCCN Certification Exam.
  • Deduce significant assessments, diagnostic findings, clinical presentations and management strategies of critical care and progressive care patients.
  • Solve and evaluate critical-care exam questions.

Cammy is an internationally known speaker with over 45 years of critical care experience. She has taught the CCRN® Exam Review as well as critical care updates with an emphasis on the critical thinking skills of the bedside practitioner. In addition to lecturing across the globe, Cammy is a reviewer for several revered nursing journals, has numerous publications in the area of critical care and continues to have an active practice as an acute care nurse practitioner at the University of Florida, Division of Critical Care Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery. As a critical care nurse practitioner, Cammy brings many clinical practice skills to her lectures as well providing clinical pearls for bedside care.

Program Handout, Electronic PowerPoint Slides and CE Certificate.

Snacks and drinks will be provided in the morning and afternoon both days.

The Day Of

Sign-in begins at 7:30 am. The day includes a one-hour lunch (on your own), as well as a morning and afternoon break of 15 minutes each. The order of lectures presented and break times may vary according to speaker preference.

Parking

Non-Providence employees, please park in Sacred Heart Doctor's Building public garage. Parking is $4/day.

Walk-In Fee

As long as space is available, you can register the day of the seminar with an additional walk-in fee of $15. Please note that only cash, money orders, credit cards and hospital checks are accepted at the door. Personal checks are not accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing or by phone up to 14 days prior to the seminar will receive a Full Refund. A 10% processing fee will be charged for refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the seminar. Cancellation fee will be waived for tuition transferred to another seminar or if applied to Self-Study products. In the rare event that MED-ED must cancel, MED-ED’s liability is limited to tuition.
