Course Description

This course is designed for perioperative nurses who want to be successful in passing the CNOR Certification Exam. The course content will review each section of the exam blueprint provided by CCI® while highlighting AORN® Guidelines that pertain to the topics and various patient populations. The participant will also create a study plan and review test-taking strategies. The course is interactive, allowing time for participants to ask questions and completing practice tests.

Key Learning Outcome

  • After completing the program, 80% of participants will report an increase in knowledge and confidence necessary to pass the certification exam.

This program prepares the learner to:

  • Self-report an increased knowledge of AORN Guidelines that will allow him or her to pass the CNOR Exam.

In her over 30 years’ experience in the nursing profession, Joyce has held various positions in clinical, leadership and educational specialties while coaching nurses in professional development. She has held certifications in continued education, nursing informatics, legal nurse consulting and perioperative nursing. With her 15 years’ experience as a perioperative nurse, team leader and educator, Joyce focuses on developing a plan for certification and filling in knowledge gaps through interactive learning and building upon existing knowledge. She brings guidelines and content to life through various stories to reinforce learning and specializes in adult education and results-oriented teaching. She completed her BSN at Kent State University, OH,  and her MSN at Ohio State University.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing or by phone up to 14 days prior to the seminar will receive a Full Refund. A 10% processing fee will be charged for refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the seminar. Cancellation fee will be waived for tuition transferred to another seminar or if applied to Self-Study products. In the rare event that MED-ED must cancel, MED-ED’s liability is limited to tuition.
