Misti is the clinical nurse specialist for neuroscience, behavioral health and rehab at Florida Hospital Orlando. She brings nearly 30 years of nursing experience to her lectures. She received her BSN from the University of Central Florida, MSN from the University of Phoenix and post-master’s certificate for clinical nurse specialist from the University of Central Florida.
Misti’s nursing experience is primarily in critical care, where she has worked in open heart recovery, medical surgical ICU, postanesthesia care and neuro critical care units. She also brings experience from the home health arena, office nursing and legal nurse consulting. She maintains national certifications in critical care, neuroscience and as an acute and critical care clinical nurse specialist. Misti remains active within these national organizations as well and serves as an online instructor for the bachelor and master’s degree programs for two nursing programs. She has published nationally on a variety of neuroscience topics and authored chapters for texts as well. Misti is active in nursing and medical research at her organization and has a passion for nursing education.
