This course is designed to supplement study materials for the NCC certification exam to obtain the RNC-NIC designation and the AACN certification exam to obtain the CCRN-neonatal designation. The course will focus on core concepts that are essential for caring for high-risk newborns. Preparation is recommended prior to participation in this course.

Michelle has 25 years of clinical and teaching experience in maternal child health and neonatal nursing, having spent 11 years at the bedside and 14 years as a clinical faculty educator, and 14 years as an adjunct faculty educator in several academic settings. Michelle has been a clinical staff educator for Level III NICU staff, regional perinatal trauma center labor and delivery and mother baby.
Most recently, Michelle is responsible for creating a standardized orientation program for maternal child health and neonatal nursing in a major healthcare system with nine birthing centers and five Level III NICU’s. She has also been an adjunct and clinical faculty educator for 14 years in several state universities, teaching undergraduate and accelerated BSN nursing students in maternal child health. Michelle has been delivering certification review courses for maternal newborn nursing and high-risk neonatal nursing for 7 years, not only for MED-ED, but for core staff in current healthcare systems in New Jersey.
