Pam is the founder and CEO of MED-ED, a company well-regarded among nurses for its 30-year history of excellence in continuing education. She is best known for her extensive knowledge in the interpretation of ECG rhythms and 12-Leads and her national and international presentations of the subject. Pam’s expertise in rhythms and 12-Leads, along with an in-depth knowledge of cardiology, results from more than 20 years of experience in cardiac intensive care units. This includes four years of practice with Dr. Henry J.L. Marriott, the well-known electro-cardiologist, lecturer and author. She has presented at numerous conferences on ECG interpretation as well as pulmonary embolism and various aspects of hemodynamic monitoring. She is also the author of the popular Rhythms and 12-Leads Pocket Guide. Pam's ability to make complex concepts easy to grasp as well as her easy interaction with the audience helps to make her seminars an enjoyable and worthwhile learning experience. Pam is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), the Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) and the American Nurses Association (ANA).
Cammy is an internationally known speaker with over 45 years of critical care experience. She has taught the CCRN® Exam Review as well as critical care updates with an emphasis on the critical thinking skills of the bedside practitioner. In addition to lecturing across the globe, Cammy is a reviewer for several revered nursing journals and has numerous publications in the area of critical care. Cammy has recently retired as an acute care nurse practitioner at the University of Florida, Division of Critical Care Medicine/Surgery. As a critical care nurse practitioner, Cammy brings many clinical practice skills to her lectures as well as providing clinical pearls for bedside care.
Dr. Stamper is an adult nurse practitioner who has worked in the field of neuroscience for almost 20 years. She has worked across the continuum of the neuroscience population, including traumatic brain injury, brain and spinal tumors, complex spine surgeries, functional neurosurgery and stroke. Although she has spent time in the long-term acute and rehab settings, she feels most comfortable in the academic hospital setting.
Tara has spoken nationally on neuroanatomy and traumatic brain injury as well as neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders and serves on the faculty at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing in its nurse practitioner program and at Robert Morris University School of Nursing in its doctoral program in Pittsburgh, PA. During her neuroscience career, Tara served on numerous quality and patient committees, in both personal and professional environments. Tara recently left neuroscience after 18 years of clinical practice and joined the supportive care service at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She has launched a supportive care heart failure program in conjunction with the department of cardiology to support and provide quality of life to congestive heart failure patients. Tara thoroughly enjoys teaching about neuroscience and welcomes class participation.
Lisa brings nearly 20 years of critical care experience to her lectures. She earned her BA from Western Michigan University, her BSN from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and her MSN from Duke University School of Nursing as an adult critical care clinical nurse specialist. She is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), where she has been inducted as a Fellow of Critical Care Medicine. She currently serves on the Advanced Practice Nursing & Practice Development board for SCCM and is a member of the Advanced Practice Continuing Education workgroup and CMC®/CSC® Board of Appeals for the AACN. Her experience includes trauma/surgical critical care and nearly 15 years of cardio-thoracic critical care. She has served as the manager/clinical educator for the cardio-thoracic/transplant critical care unit at Duke University, worked as the cardiovascular/critical care clinical nurse specialist for WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC, and served as the clinical nurse specialist for cardio-thoracic surgery at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Lisa became passionate about teaching during her experience at Duke and loves helping other nurses achieve their professional goals.
Kelly’s enthusiasm and passion for critical care nursing and improving bedside care are evident during her seminars. She received her BSN from the University of Scranton (PA) and her MSN and DNP degrees at Duke University, in Durham, NC. Kelly spent her first six years as an acute care nurse practitioner in trauma and surgical critical care at East Carolina University’s teaching hospital. Kelly has been a cardiothoracic surgery ACNP at WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC, since 2008. She is also a consulting associate instructor for the Duke University School of Nursing.
Kelly is a Fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) and has spoken both regionally and nationally on a variety of acute and critical care topics and is a published author. She has received an evidenced-based practice research grant from AACN and served two terms on AACN's Advanced-Practice Work Group, as well as on the Research & Creative Abstracts Review Panel and Continuing Education Review Panel. She is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), where she served on the Fundamental Critical Care Support Program Committee and as a Paragon Quality Improvement coach. In 2013, Kelly received a presidential citation for “extraordinary contributions of time, energy and resources” to the SCCM. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Emergency Nursing and served as the contributing editor for the pharmacology section of Critical Care Nurse from June 2013 through June 2016.
Cyndi completed her nursing education in the U.S. Navy and rose to be a lieutenant commander (0-4). She holds a BS in psychology with a minor in sociology. After obtaining her legal nurse certification, she opened her business, Clinical Review: Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. Earlier she had worked as a security counselor with mentally ill and dangerous inmates of the Minnesota Security Hospital where she returned in the role of lead psychiatric nurse. Cyndi is in a graduate family nurse practitioner program at Minnesota State University. Currently she divides her professional time at two Level 3 trauma centers in the Twin Cities, Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Fairview Southdale Hospital, working in their intensive care units. Cyndi loves teaching and has spoken nationally on various nursing topics.
