This course is designed for the Nursing Professional Development nurse who wants to successfully complete the certification exam. The course content will include an review of each section of the exam blueprint provided by the American Nurses Credentialing Center while highlighting educational content from the Core Curriculum for Nursing Professional Development. The participant will also create a study plan and review test-taking strategies. The course is interactive, allowing time for participants to ask questions, complete practice tests and review rational for correct answers.
Sign-in begins at 7:30 am. Each day includes a one-hour lunch (on your own), as well as a morning and afternoon break of 15 minutes each. The order of lectures presented and break times may vary according to speaker preference.

Louie Ang is a seasoned perioperative nurse and dedicated educator with a strong commitment to advancing nursing practice through education, mentorship and innovation. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (Post-Master’s) and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Sacred Heart University. With extensive clinical and leadership experience, Louie has contributed to top-tier healthcare institutions, New York-Presbyterian, NYU Langone Health and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Board-certified as a nursing professional development specialist and holding a specialty certification in perioperative nursing with an obstetrics and gynecology designation, Louie brings both depth and breadth to his practice. He is a lifetime member of The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and serves on the board of directors for the AORN New York City chapter. He is also a member of the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD).
Louie is actively engaged in professional development and has presented on a range of topics, including simulation-based learning, perioperative competencies and the integration of technology in nursing education. His work reflects a deep passion for empowering nurses and improving patient care through evidence-based teaching and leadership.

Cancellations received in writing or by phone up to 14 days prior to the seminar will receive a Full Refund. A 10% processing fee will be charged for refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the seminar. Cancellation fee will be waived for tuition transferred to another seminar or if applied to Self-Study products. In the rare event that MED-ED must cancel, MED-ED’s liability is limited to tuition.
