This program provides a comprehensive review of oncology nursing practice in preparation for the Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Certified Nurse (TCTCN) exams administered by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC). This review will provide content and practice questions reflective of the current OCN and TCTCN exam content outline. It is intended for the nurse with a minimum of two years of experience in oncology nursing practice and two years of nursing practice. This is not an introductory course to teach the basics in oncology and TCT nursing practice.
This program prepares the learner to:
Identify resources to successfully prepare the OCN and TCTCN certification exams.

Mary is an accomplished oncology clinical nurse leader and educator with 34 years of experience. She has participated in major changes in nursing and has actively contributed to the growth of the oncology nursing practice. Currently, Mary is an oncology clinical nurse educator working at a large healthcare system in south Florida. She is responsible for the professional development of oncology nurses, assisting them in transforming the care at the bedside through education and practice. She has designed and presented oncology orientations and OCN® review courses, including the ONS chemotherapy biotherapy certificate course.
Mary is involved in the guidance of nursing practice in a busy oncology, blood and marrow transplant unit, assisting the bedside nurse in providing patient and family-centered care. She is an energetic educator who is able to present advanced concepts in an interesting and memorable manner.
Mary has presented at numerous nursing conferences, including nationally at the Oncology Nursing Society Congress and American Society of Blood & Marrow Transplant Tandem Conference. She is an active member of ONS, Infusion Nurses Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Florida chapter. Mary received her BScN degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, her MEd from the University of Toronto and her MSN from Florida Atlantic University. She is both an oncology certified nurse (OCN) and a Blood & Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCNTM).

Cancellations received in writing or by phone up to 14 days prior to the seminar will receive a Full Refund. A 10% processing fee will be charged for refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the seminar. Cancellation fee will be waived for tuition transferred to another seminar or if applied to Self-Study products. In the rare event that MED-ED must cancel, MED-ED’s liability is limited to tuition.
