Donna Marie De Simone, MS, JD, APRN-CNS, CPN


Ms. De Simone is an advanced practice registered nurse, clinical nurse specialist and attorney specializing in healthcare law and e-discovery. Her work as an associate counsel for a large healthcare system, her role as lead counsel in civil rights, toxic tort, environmental law and medical malpractice lawsuits and her experience in nursing administration and staff development bring a unique real-world flavor to her lectures.

Ms. De Simone has represented state agencies, corporations, individuals and healthcare providers in Florida and Oklahoma. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and Oklahoma, U.S. district courts (Northern, Eastern and Western Oklahoma), U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is the proud recipient of the Elaine Osborne Jacobson Award for Women in Health Care Law from the Roscoe Pound Foundation and American Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to her law degree, she has a masters of nursing degree as a clinical nurse specialist from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a family nurse practitioner certificate from George Washington University. Ms. De Simone has lectured on a variety of nursing and legal issues for many years.
