Heather Baum, MSN, RN, CRNP, FNP-C, CCRN
Heather graduated with a diploma in nursing from the Reading School of Health Sciences in 2007, completed the RN-BSN program at Alvernia University in 2009 and obtained her CCRN in 2010. In 2017, she both completed the MSN-FNP program at Widener University and achieved her CRNP. She has 10 years of critical-care experience in a surgical intensive care unit focused on trauma and neuro-critical patients. She currently works as a nurse practitioner in the intermediate care unit at Tower Health System Hospitalist Group in Pennsylvania, where she cares for acutely ill patients with varying medical diagnoses.
Heather is a past president of the Greater Reading Chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and a current active member of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the AACN, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (PCNP), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN). She focuses on interdisciplinary plans of care and has a passion for providing continuing education, presenting on a variety of critical care, trauma and neurology topics at local and regional levels.
