Marygrace Lomboy, MSN, CRNP, ACHPN, CWCN
Marygrace is a certified family nurse practitioner with Palliative Medicine Consultants of Hospice & Community Care, Lancaster, PA. She holds certification in family practice, advanced certification in hospice and palliative care and also certification for wound care through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society™. She is currently pursuing additional certifications in yoga therapy, mindfulness and compassion fatigue.
Marygrace has over 30 years of experience in nursing and over 12 years in hospice and palliative care. She has developed a palliative wound care consultative service for nursing-home and home-care patients, working in collaboration with patients’ attending physicians. She has traveled to third-world countries to lecture on palliative wound care, end-of-life care and also to provide emergency relief services related to wound care after catastrophic events.
She has presented at national and international meetings and provides seminars in palliative care, wound management, compassion fatigue and resiliency training. She has a great passion for providing dignity and comfort to those suffering from wounds, especially toward the end of life. Marygrace also has a great passion to educate caregivers about self-care, compassion and resiliency skills to continue to help nurses be the best they can be for patients. Recently, Marygrace has also become certified to teach yoga along with receiving a grant to complete a teacher-training course in mindfulness-based stress reduction.
