Stephan Davis, DNP, MHSA, RN, FACHE, CPHQ, NEA-BC


Dr. Stephan Davis is an accomplished healthcare executive and educator. His leadership experience spans hospitals, health systems, insurance companies and various task forces and boards. He now serves as a clinical assistant professor at Georgia State University, primarily teaching courses on leadership, management and policy. He is also the founder and principal of ILLUMINANT, which promotes leadership excellence through education, coaching and consultation.

Dr. Davis is a fellow of education in the health profession at Johns Hopkins University, where he will matriculate into the Doctor of Education (EdD) program in mind, brain and teaching in fall 2019. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in executive leadership from Yale University and a master’s degree in health systems administration (MHSA) from Georgetown University. He is a fellow and national faculty member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is also board-certified as an advanced nurse executive with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is certified in executive nursing practice with the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE). He previously served as a content expert and item writer for the advanced nurse executive specialty examination with ANCC. He holds additional national board certifications in healthcare quality, finance and education.
