Tammey Dickerson, MSN, RNC-OB, CNL, C-EFM


Tammey has 30 years of experience in perinatal nursing with a focus on labor and delivery with clinical experience in antepartum and postpartum/mother baby. In 2012, Tammey took on the role of perinatal safety nurse at Danbury Hospital, in Danbury, CT, which included but was not limited to education, safety, risk management, management of patient care, building the electronic medical record, fetal monitor education, policy and protocol development and implementation. Along with clinical practice, she began consulting as a testifying expert in OB cases in 2007. Tammey has worked on cases as a nursing expert in many states for both the prosecution and the defense.

Tammey has an MSN in nursing education and clinical nurse leader (CNL) certification. She believes her degrees give her an understanding of current clinical practice, policy and its application to clinical practice and the value of education for all healthcare providers. She holds certifications in CNL and inpatient obstetrics as well as holding a Certificate of Added Qualification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring. Tammey is an AWHONN instructor for intermediate and advanced electronic fetal monitoring.
